The English Institute of Sport - Sheffield (EIS) opened in December 2003 and is the largest of the nine multi-sports hubs around the country. It is one of Englands'  most impressive indoor sports venues.

The 45 metre high steel masts support the 70 metre span steel roof via M100 tendons supplied by Daver Steels..

External M56 tendons tie back the roof beams to the ground anchor plates. M48 fork-fork tie bar connections are visible connections under the shaped roof steelwork.
