Woodchurch High School, Wirral, UK
Woodchurch High Schools' new school building was opened in Sep 2010. The new building was designed by Building Design Partnership and features extensive use of Glulam timber throughout the stucture. The main contractor was KIER NorthWest.
The Glulam timber beams were manufactured, supplied and installed by Constructional Timber Ltd.
Daver Steels supplied the galvanised fabricated steelwork for the Glulam connections. The Daver Tie Bar system was used for the structural cross bracing. These are M20 galvanised feature cross bracings to a demanding finish as shown by the quality of the finished building.
